New Brand Development
The guys from Colormatics approached me to create a new identity that strongly communicated what they were about. The branding for the NY production studio needed to reflect their personality and mindset; a production juggernaut, going against the grain of the industry and it's jargon. Colormatics isn't about chasing a check... it's about craftsmanship, bent on breaking free of trendy boxes and creating meaningful content.
In order for this to be a successful project, I knew I needed to approach the branding process in the same way Colormatics approached their own work. So I got my hands dirty and experimented with different materials and mediums. It was clear early on that a carefully crafted, handmade brand, with minimal technological interruption would be the correct route. Through my developed and collaborative process, the client and I went back and forth until a logo that could be used in all applications was finally beaten into final shape.
